Anniversary and Birthday Wishes

Today was cousins Lisa and Jose's 25th wedding anniversary. I looked through all my metallic papers and chose a bit of silver paper to punch, and some silver textured cardstock with which to frame it. Then, I attached metallic stickers to a piece of vellum and cut along the edges.

All that was mounted over the sentiment printed on vellum and the DCWV glitter cardstock for an elegant card.

For nephew Blake's birthday, I used an ATC I had on hand and designed the card around it. The DCWV cardstock was pre-printed with "fabulous" and I added the "birthday" diecut and the stamped dates below.

The ATC was made with a piece of industrial flooring overlay, a bit of ball chain, a designer staple, an initial embellishment (leather), and a punch of glitter cardstock (the crown).

The nephews and niece and I played a full 18 holes of mini golf at Walker Art Center's Sculpture Garden.

We met up with Craig, David and Kim at Psycho Suzy's for drinks and apps on their riverside deck.

A great day all around.

Bungalow Vignettes

Now that I am on summer break from school, I'm finally getting around to my bungalow "to-do" list. Starting with the front door, I re-decorated this grapevine wreath from its fall theme to a summer one. I wound a new ribbon over it, with an elastic tie over that, and a starfish to finish: 1-2-3 easy!

Just inside my front door is my new clock on a shelf I moved from another room. Hanging below is a stylized beaded starfish.

And yet another starfish on a miniature chair beside another new clock and my needs-to-be-grouted tile art.
